The Austrian Circle in which there are Archdutchy of Austria, The Dutchy of Stiriar, Carinthiae, Carniolae the Comitatus Tirolis and Episcopal Conferences of Trent' A northerly orientated map covering parts of modern day Austria, Slovenia and Italy. The bottom right has a mileage scale and a simple compass rose is in the Medeterainion Sea in the south. Justus Danckerts (1635-1701) was an engraver, cartographer and publisher based in Amsterdam. Together with his sons Jastus (the younger), Theodore, and Cornelis they published multiple atlases. Tooley's Dictionary of Mapmaker, Early World Press, 2004, p331
