A attractive and detailed color coded map of the European empires in the New World. Spanish possessions are in yellow, French in pink, and British in green. On the right is a smaller map that contains three maps of Bahia Portus Belli and Bahia harbor. The bottom left has a wonderfully detailed naval battle with figure observing from the shore. A comparative mileage scale in a decorative cartouche is present at the top left. This map has been made in accordance with the Mercator projection.Tobias Conrad Lotter (1717-1777) was an engraver and publisher based in Augsburg who married the daughter of Georg Seutter.
