The British Isles and part of the continental mainland between Picardy and Liege. At the top left is a magnificent coat of arms draped on a uncoloured banner with three coats of arms representing England, the single lion the king of Scotland and the harp for Ireland. The top right has a large detailed and uncolored title cartouche. The text is in French framed by allegorical images. Above the crowned lion is a unicorn with the British coat of arms and two flags. The unicorn stands for the kingdom of Scotland. The edges of the maritime motifs are in the form of a sailing ship and trade goods, and characters in different clothing. At the bottom right outside the area on the chart is the name of the engraver Matthew Albert Lotter in Augsburg. A mileage scale is on the bottom left. Interesting the cartographer makes no difference in the size and importance of cities. While the map is decorated on the borders the interior is relatively clean and accurate. The Orkney Islands in the north are also shown in their local language. Tobias Conrad Lotter (1717-1777) was an engraver and publisher based in Augsburg who married the daughter of Georg Seutter. He inherited part of Seutter's company and set up an independent firm in 1758. Tooley's Dictionary of Mapmaker, Early World Press, 2004, p158

Schön ausgeführte Karte von Großbritannien mit den Inseln und einem Teil des kontinentalen Festlands zwischen der Picardie und Lüttich. Oben links eine prächtige drapierte aber unkolorierte Wappenkartusche. Die drei Wappen der einzelnen Reiche sind hier vertreten. Die drei Löwen stehen für England, der einzelne Löwe für den König von Schottland und die Harfe für Irland. Oben rechts die große detailreiche unkolorierteTitelkartusche. Der französische Titel wird gerahmt von Allegorien. Oben der gekrönte Löwe und ein Einhorn mit dem britischen Gesamtwappen und zwei Flaggen. Das Einhorn steht hier für das Königreich Schottland. An den Rändern maritime Motive in Form eines Segelschiffes und Handelsgütern sowie Figuren in verschiedenen Kostümen. Unten rechts, außerhalb des Kartenbereiches die Nennung des Kupferstechers Matthäus Albert Lotter aus Augsburg. Unten links ein Meilenzeiger. Interessant ist, dass der Kartograph keine Unterscheidung in der Größe und der Bedeutung der Städte vornimmt. Obwohl die Karte so herrlich verziert ist, ist sie doch wissenschaftlich nüchtern gehalten. Die Orkney-Islands im Norden werden auch in der Landessprache bezeichnet.
