In the sea between Japan and Korea is a ship that was reported to have been capable of crossing the distance between Osaka and Nagasaki in 12 days, a distance of 220 French Miles. Vincenzo Coronelli (1650-1718) was a cartographer and map maker, based in Venice. He had a doctorate in theology and was a Franciscan monk.
