English | St. Lawrence gulf, Terra Nova and Acadia with its careful depiction of the location of the major fishing grounds, is doubtless derived from French sources. Vincenzo Coronelli (1650-1718) was a cartographer and map maker, based in Venice. He had a doctorate in theology and was a Franciscan monk.
