The Archduchy of Lower Austria surrounded by Moravia, Bohemia, Styria and the Kingdom of Hungary. With great detail villages and geographical features are shown. Vienna and other major cities are shown The decorative title cartouche is framed and uncolored. Johann Baptist Homann (1664-1724) designed it in his usual style of detail with allegories of wealth and commerce. The Lower Austrian coat of arms is held by Cherubs. Johann Baptist Homann (1664-1724) was the cartograher of The Holy Roman Empire from 1715 and a member of the Prussian Royal Academy of Sciences. Die reliefartig ausgearbeitete Karte zeigt das Erzherzogtum Niederösterreich, umgeben von der Markgrafschaft Mähren, Böhmen, der Steiermark und dem Königreich Ungarn. Mit höchster technischer Feinheit sind unzählige Ortschaften und geographische Merkmale eingezeichnet. Wien und andere größere Städte lassen sogar den Grundriss erkennen. Die Regionen des Erzherzogtums sind flächig koloriert. Die dekorative Titelkartusche in barocker Rahmung hingegen ist nicht koloriert. Johann Baptist Homann (1664-1724) gestaltete sie in dem für ihn typischen Detailreichtum mit Allegorien des Wohlstandes und Handels aus. Das niederösterreichische Wappen wird von einem Putto gehalten.
