English | A large intriguing map is of the Iberian Peninsula, including the Balearic Islands in the south east and the coast of north Africa. This map is derived from the four-sheet map of Jaillot / Mortier, made during the Spanish Succession War (1701–1714). The interior of the peninsula is filled with detail and a beautiful title cartouche containing of the coats of arms of the Spanish provinces. Johann Baptist Homann (1664-1724) was the cartograher of The Holy Roman Empire from 1715 and a member of the Prussian Royal Academy of Sciences.
